01 What does span do?
Tracks events you don’t want to forget, both upcoming (an "until") and past (a "since"). Each event ticks in real time on your Home Screen, Lock Screen, Apple Watch, and the app itself.
02 What’s the difference between "until" and "since"?
An "until" event counts down to a future date. A "since" event counts up from a past one. When an "until" passes, span automatically flips it to "since" without losing any data.
03 How do shared links work?
When you share an event from span, the entire event is encoded into the link itself. The recipient opens it in any browser and sees a live-ticking card. No app required, no account, no server round-trip.
04 Does it sync across my devices?
Yes, via iCloud. Sync is opt-in and end-to-end encrypted by Apple. We don’t run servers, store backups, or have any way to read your events.
05 Do you collect any data?
No analytics and no third-party SDKs. The app touches the network only to register custom fonts and to load Material Symbols on this website. That’s it.
06 How much does it cost?
span is a one-time purchase on the App Store. No subscriptions or in-app purchases.
07 Can I use it on Android or the web?
Not today. span is built for iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS. The web is for opening shared links; full apps elsewhere are not on the roadmap.
08 I lost a shared link. Can you recover it?
No. The link is the event. If you have the URL, you have the data; if you don’t, we can’t restore it. Bookmark the ones that matter.
